I would first like to apologize to everyone with the patching issues and restarts. Studio Wildcard has been hard at work releasing as many fixes as they can to make the game run smoother and take less resources so people can get better performance. The negative side to all these patches was the incompatibility of user's clients vs the server. We made a tough decision to restart everytime we had to so that everyone could get on and play. This had drawbacks such as losing dinos in the taming process, when a restart would happen. But we felt that that loss was something we would have to forgo in order to keep everyone being capable to join and play. Supposedly, the newer patches have fixed that issue with server restarts and taming. It has been an issue for many people. We also are now able to send really visible server messages to announce when the restarts are coming. This will be really helpful for everyone. The other thing that is much nicer now is the patches have way better compatibility, so server restarts are going to be limited to most likely a morning and late at night patch. And all the mini ninja patches throughout the day won't require a restart.

As for the server lag earlier today, we ran a command that would respawn all of the resources in the game such as trees and stones. This command had a bug where it would respawn the resources infinitely on top of each other which caused massive lag around the map. We have figured out the issue and have taken care of it. The purpose of the command is to keep the resources fresh. The developers currently have way too long of a resource respawn timer and we feel that you shouldn't have to venture super far to gather. So the resources will respawn on a daily timer.

Glad to see everyone enjoying the servers,

The UCGL Team
